# Testimonials

Testimonials shows short quotes from your customers, each with the author’s name and, if you like, what they bought. Use it on the home page or near your products to let real customers speak for the fit, the fabrics or your service. You can add it to any page.

## Add the quotes

Each quote is a **Testimonial** block, up to nine per section. In each block, write the words in **Quote**, the person’s name in **Author** and, optionally, a **Detail** such as the product they bought or their city. Drag the blocks to change the order. Line breaks you type in the quote are kept, and the quotation marks are added for you in the style of each language.

The section starts with three blocks whose text explains what to write. Replace it with what your customers actually said, or remove the blocks you don’t need: a block with an empty **Quote** is hidden in your store, and a section with no quotes is hidden altogether.

## Testimonials are not reviews

The section has no stars, ratings or averages, because the quotes are chosen and written by you, not collected from customers. Only publish quotes from real customers, with their permission. To show product reviews with ratings, install a reviews app and add its block to your product pages.

## Choose how the quotes are laid out

On tablets and computers the quotes sit in a grid; **Columns on desktop** sets two or three columns. On phones they sit in a single row that customers swipe sideways, with the next quote peeking in, so the page doesn’t get long. There are no arrows; keyboard users can scroll the row with the arrow keys.

**Quote size** sets the size of the quote text for all blocks. Choose **Small** for long quotes and **Large** for one or two short ones.

The **Heading** appears as a small label above the quotes and also names the section for screen readers.

## Show it only between two dates

Turn on **Schedule visibility** and set a start, an end, or both. See [Scheduling](https://docs.ictsviluppo.example/dossier/scheduling). Single quotes can’t be scheduled: schedule the whole section instead.
